Los Arcos to Logrono

To the place we were staying today saw us walk about 30km.  We walked over rolling hills and flat which was not too rocky under foot so a great day to ditch the walking boots.  Our soft Nikes are like wearing slippers.  Who needs to wear a hair shirt on a pilgramige?  Not me!!!  It was a lovely day, blue skies no hint of rain and a comfortable breeze.  It was the furthest but perhaps the most comfortable... if anything on the Camino can be described that way.
We went into more than one old church from the 13th centuary and marvelled at the architecture.
We walked past more blackberry bushes, rosehips, grape vines, olive and apples trees.  The scenery is just all around us on days like today.
We have settled into a comfortable routine now.  There are things that need to be taken care of each day.  Simple things really like our little bit of washing, foot surgery, finding food for tomorrows walk.  Ahhhh the simple life.
We went to our first mass this evening.  Very nice.  They do a special pilgrims blessing at the end.  The quads got a good work out wirh all the standing, sitting and kneeling.  Just what is needed after a 30km stroll through the Spanish country side.
